Memorable journeys
I've made many interesting journeys, most of which were never written down. Here are accounts of three that were:
Inn to inn walks in Europe
– We have taken many holidays walking from inn to inn for a week or so, with our overnight bags moved for us so we just do the walking. Several companies provide these, including: Headwater , InnTravel and Sherpa . They all offer walks at different grades, and we tend to prefer the more challenging graded walks. We prefer the unaccompanied walks so we can go at our own pace, stop where and when we wish, and detour if the mood takes us. We have walked:

- Val d' Anniviers, Towards the Matterhorn: St Luc – Zinal – Gremontz – Vercourin
- Bernese Oberland: Kandersteg – Adelboden – Lenk – Lauenen – Kandersteg
- Madeira; Machico – Camacha – Santo da Serra – Ribeiro Frio – Encumeada – Canticeiras
